A Deeper Dive into the Workings of SolidddVision Smartglasses
SolidddVision™ is fundamentally different from all previous low-vision aids. Unlike some competitors that may magnify or reposition sections of the visual field from somewhere that people living with macular degeneration can’t see to some edge area where they still have sight, SolidddVision smartglasses use your full retina, in conjunction with brain capacity that no one ever knew existed before we discovered it, to create a full-field image that is just like normal, healthy sight. Even if, without our glasses, you have macular degeneration that blocks some portion of the visual field. It’s a radically new and better way to see.
We've got two different reports on just what SolidddVision does...and how it does it.
First up is the podcast: "Restoring vision for Macular Degeneration sufferers" from Jez Donaldson. In this podcast, Soliddd CEO Neal Weinstock explains the incredible discovery he made about the way the brain assembles images and how the technology exploits this to bypass impairments in the eye.You can listen to this 12-minute podcast on Castbox by clicking here.
Here's the intro: What if your glasses could do more than just focus the vision you already have — what if they could fill in the blind spots stealing your vision with next-gen sensors and an age old trick of the brain?
This Thursday, March 27th, Neal Weinstock will be part of the HITLAB Digital Health Symposium webcast on Zoom. Neal will be discussing how our SolidddVision smartglasses will reshape healthcare for those with macular degeneration.
The symposium runs from 11am – 2pm ET, with Neal scheduled at 11:15am ET.
Registration is FREE. You can register by clicking here.
Soliddd’s Raffaello Galby, our VP of Operations, will be participating in the New York VisionWalk on Saturday, April 12th in Central Park. Organized by the Foundation Fighting Blindness, you can find out more by clicking here.
On May 6th, we're back with HITLAB. Raffaello and Neal will speak at HITLAB's Spring 2025 Innovators Summit, taking place during the second annual New York City Health Innovation Week. Under the title “Breaking Through the Noise: Health Tech, Fundraising Strategies, and Avoiding Time-Wasting Investors,” they will focus on Soliddd's investment journey.
